"25 For 25" campaign celebrates ADA anniversary

July 1, 2015

iLIFE is highlighting 25 people, events, and moments that shaped the disability rights movement leading up to the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

On July 26, 1990, President George H.W. Bush signed the Americans with Disabilities Act, which enacted comprehensive legislation to protect individuals with disabilities. This month marks 25 years since the historic laws went into effect.

Our “25 For 25” campaign focuses on important leaders and events spanning the 20th century to today, as well as accessibility features that support the rights of people with disabilities.

Check iLIFEfms.com, follow iLIFE on Facebook and Twitter, and use the hashtag #25For25 as we unveil our list all month long.
